Tapping C6 Low Level Pin-outs

The pinouts are as follows:

Left Front Low Level – Dark Green A9
Left Front Low Level + Tan A8
Right Front Low Level + Dark Green B11
Right Front Low Level – Light Green B10

Left Rear Low Level – Brown B9
Left Rear Low Level + Brown/White B8
Right Rear Low Level + Dark Blue A11
Right Rear Low Level – Tan A10

To tap these for the purpose of using an aftermarket amp & speakers you need 4 solder-on female RCA’s and some 18g wire and some wire taps.  I think the Radio Shack part number for the RCA’s is 274-337  but their site is difficult to navigate any more.  I prefer using taps that you can disconnect quickly, like these:

If you use these you also need to get the male tab connectors:

I’d buy 2 spools of wire, two different colors so you can keep track of polarity.

Tap the wires shown in the picture above, then solder short lengths of wire to the female RCA terminals and then crimp/solder on the male disconnect tabs.  Connect the tabs to the tapped wires to give you a Front Left +/-, Front Right +/- etc.
